The B.U.V. War

Before magic was properly introduced and the land still roughly untouched, the Great Migration brought the many races to their new home. Some were less pleased with their surroundings than others and made that displeasure known. Violently.

Summary

The many races and tribes arrived along the southern and western coasts to a land of shifting sand and dangerous monsters. The tools they had were little good against creatures so furocious and deadly, and alone none could stand against them. A group of Uzerant, Vardan, and Broxceus decided that conflict was both inevitable and controlable, and made preperations amongst their sect to train and arm themselves. They ignored the pleadings of their companion races and eventually stood strong enough to begin figthing their way through the beast that dogged them. Unfortunatley this caused a shift in the natural balance that had existed before, and slowly creatures in nightmares began to become reality. The groups urged their companions to join them in their endevours and fervent fights, but were rejected heartily. This rejection created a rift between the more militaristic of the peoples, and those more desiring of a peaceful life. Eventually they split apart. Violently. The groups that fled, the Broxceus, Uzerant, and Vardan, fought their way through the creatures and nightmares to escape northward. The journey ahead would be deadly and largely dissapointing. Several of the tribes decided to create a life along the peninsulas of the western coast, while the rest continued ever northward.

Historical Basis

The "Great Migration" is a historic world event with absolutely no records other than oral and legends. The spliting of the many humanoid species that participated in the journey created the foundation of the peoples we know today. This records of the split are hazy and incomplete at best, but it would offer a solution to the question of why there were so few Uzerant in the records after the "Scalise Birthing". Regardless, the tribes discussed that made their ways further north are still there, though the majority of the land is now owned by either of the largest nations currently.

Spread

This story is taught early in most cities that offer schooling. As a foundational story, whether accurate or not, it speaks to the dangers of the world outside and the possiblities of being led by rage and fear. This is undercut, unfortunately, by the fact that the peoples whom made their journeys North founded two of the most Martial Dominant nations to currently exist. One of which went on to attempt a continental takeover.

Variations & Mutation

The variations of the story are largely in its use, those with a more militaristic focus glorify the "selfless" desires of the "earliest defenders". While others discuss the resuls having been the ultimate cause of the "Scalise Birth".
