Kasanakuki
The concept of Kasanakuki (Gods Earth, Divine body) after it was discovered by the early peoples of the Enduring Dominion. Legend states the ground their diety sat upon would slowly shift into this material after thier days of meditation. During the years after their divine hosts departure (this is allegedly when the being the Empire knows as the God of Creation, was first reported descending towards the greater cities of the Empire) other locations were discovered as resources for the material.
It wasn't until an excited member of the third surveying team made the note that the locations their team had discovered all shared one trait, each site had abnormally large amounts of Arcane Energy spilling from it and the surrounding areas. These "pockets" of excessive natural Arcane Energy were uncommon at the peaks and along the valleys lower, and more hospitable, areas. instead, vast pockets were found along the the middle sections of mountains, within deep internal caves reaching all the way towards the peak.

Gems, while incredible for storing massive amounts of Ethereal/Arcane Energy, are limited in their size. The actual conversion between size and gem is unknown but the smaller the gem usually holds less than a larger one. This ratio is reduced when the gem is "worked" and made into a better receptor for
History & Usage
History
The largest concentration of the materials are within the deep mountains and most strange locations of the world. Its unusual to find a "topside" location affliceted with the natural energy to create these sorts of pockets, while the mountains internals are more soaked in the natural "radiation" of energy and have had the time to compress and condense and consolidate its materials.
The early peoples of the Enduring Domain were said to have been created by the greated God of Creation, a figured that allegedly spoke the first of the Hettethyse into existence. The surrounding peoples of the other races were slowly brought into the fold of the Hettethyse peoples and eventually created a sort of society spanning form mountain peak to valleys edge, and almost entirelly underground. The deeper/higher one went, the more likely it was to find the areas that could create the material.

Their technology was advanced at the time by near generations and the use of magic was far more prevelent. The use of the material within the religion and monarchal structure of the Enduring Domains is a tightly held secret, however the small amound known has lead its use and desire to reach unpresidented levels.

Everyday use
Due to the materials rarity and uses, most forms and collections of the material is held by the Nobility, Royalty, and Military. The prices for any item effected and proven to actually contain the energy are astronomical for the common class, but are treated as family heirlooms if attained. It is used to aid in the construction of weapons, armor, structures, artifacts, vessels, etc...
Weapons and Armor using a combination of the material are far stronger and far stranger due to its inherent "Magical" nature.
Cultural Significance and Usage
The Hettethyse, and the rest of the Enduring Domain for that matter, worship the material and treat it as flesh of their god. Only Holy creations can use the materials and most that have been created are hidden within the secret world of the Hettethyse atop the Peaks. The Kasanage peoples are the closest examples of the Hettethyses' uses and their reverence for it. The Kasanage peoples use the materials in holy rituals, as weapons, as buildings, and most importantly as a trade incentive for the Enduring Domain to push its organized Council of Arcanists.
