About the Realm

Dark Appalachia is a realm that is similar to the southeastern mountains of the United States in the 1800's. It is a land of high magic, with traditional fantasy races.
It also has the technological trappings of the time: rudimentary automobiles, steam powered machinery, shotguns, and exploitative industry.
Specifically, the mining industry is a main driver of social and ecological disruption in Dark Appalachia.

The Town of Shertoona

The realm is home to the sleepy town of Shertoona, a town that has been sleepwalking through its silent invasion by insidious forces. Namely, the Eternal Dawn Mining Company has emerged as a bad actor with more up its sleeve besides the simple exploitation of local labor.
