Sailune Kingdom

The Sailune Kingdom represents the unification of the towns and cities sprawled across the continent that were unified by Ira Aliskren, the first undisputed King. Generations have passed and the towns, while still together in name, has fractured into states where the Royal Children oversees a major town and its surrounding provinces.

Structure

Matriarchal society:

Queen and King

The queen has the final word on arbitration, sentencing, grants, and titles while the king takes on the role of Queen when she is otherwise unable to provide the final ruling when one is needed.

Princesses and Prince

Can summon audiences to the royal chamber, dispense from the Royal Treasury, and negotiate trade deals and peace treaties.

Duchess and Duke

These are the handlers of the districts in the cities overseen by the Princesses and Prince. The Duchesses of a city has power comparable to that of the Royal Children.

Marchioness and Marquess

The Marchoiness oversees the borderlands and reports directly to Prince or Princess and to the one that is closest and most relevant to their report.

Public Agenda

The goal of the Kingdom is to preserve unity, enshrine peace, and foster sisterhood.

Military

The Aliskiren Soldiers is the name of the military force under the direct command of the Royal Family. They function as elite soldiers that have earned their positions. In terms of large scale conflicts, such as with Solaris or other calamities, the Soldiers will function as the backbone, taking command of the various Dukes' militias and Marques' rangers. Becoming a Soldier requires a recommendation from the commanding Duke, Marquess, or from Drysler, the Warrior Guildmaster.

Religion

While all the gods are revered for their power and influence, Artemis the moon god is considered the patron deity of the Aliskiren household. As such, the officially supported deity is of Artemis.
Of note, while Apollo, the deity of the sun, is the patron deity of the ruling house of Tekturn in Solaris, Apollo is still respected and followed by many in Sailune.
