King Stephen , III
King Stephen the 3rd, often called Stephen the Great, is considered to be the most important monarch in Woodangian history, having been the man responsible for the formation of the nation of Woodangees.

Personal history
Prince Stephen of Wünenburg was born the oldest child of King Stephen II of Niccadia, and was announced as heir on his 5th birthday. Stephen's childhood was spent studying history and war, often playing war games with other children in the court. by the time he was 15 he could speak 3 languages and was granted the rank of Commander in the Niccadian army at 17. his time in the army was eventful, with the 4th Fishbone war sparking off in 1793.
Prince Stephen saw combat at the battle of Wünenburg (1795), the fiercest battles the city would see until the 1960's. Sluggican forces were able to surround the city on the 18th of February and began probing for a weak point in the defensive line. They finally were successful on the 21st, pouring into the city. Prince Stephen survived the battle with a shot lodged in his side that could never be fully removed.
In 1801 he was made king after the passing of his father, and would exact revenge on Sluggica and their ally Daemona by launching the 5th Fishbone War in 1803. During the war Daemona was completely wiped out, and as revenge the small nation of Underland was targeted and destroyed by Sluggica for their part in the war. Stephen had previously promised to protect the small nation, and helped them relocate to a new home.
On July 3rd 1822 King Stephen III sent the now famous The Rotelkon Letter in secret, and on July 15th the 4th Rotelkon confrence was held, during which the nations of Niccadia, Ontangees, and Dijit came together to form the Kingdom of Woodangees.
On October 31st, 1827 King Stephen III launched an invasion of Sluggica as revenge for the destruction of Underland. During this war Sluggica was almost wiped out.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Stephen III was the King who unified Niccadia, Ontangees, and Dijit into the Kingdom of Woodangeese and also led Niccadia through the 5th Fishbone War and Woodangees through the 6th.
Failures & Embarrassments
The destruction of Underland weighed heavy on King Stephen III, as he had promised to protect them, but Niccadian forces arrived too late to save them, and instead could only help gather the survivors and bring them back to southern Niccadia in modern day Tynica. From there King Stephen III used his alliance with Castonguay to secure the survivors of the massacre a new home on the the island now referred to as New Underland. Some believe that Underland was the final straw for King Stephen III needed to push him to seek unification and the destruction of their remaining enemy in the region, Sluggica.
Reign
Stephen III took the throne of Niccadia after the death of his father in 1801 at the age of 26. After leading Niccadia through the 5th Fishbone War and witnessing the destruction of Underland he would go on to host the 4th Rotelkon Confrence, during which the charter of unification was drafted, and the nation of Woodangees was born on July 20th, 1822
