Selynn is a massive city located within the hear of the Realm of Goras. It is the capital city of the realm and is the most populated Elven settlement, with Iedaleivadil being its second and its "Sister City".
Geography and Layout
The city is perched upon an island in the center of the Realm of Goras, separated from the rest of the land by a vast chasm known as Bilendiuer's fall. It is believed to have no bottom and has several waterfalls that pour into it. The city shares the island with the Forest of Amber to the west, separated by two rivers that flow from the city, Alluin's Rest to the southwest, which is the resting place for the Kivings of the city, Uranhil College to the southeast, where the brightest heirs among them train to be part of the Kiving Court, and the Heavy Hills to the east.
Four bridges connect the island to the mainland, each having been built long before the Elves first arrived to Evermist. Some believe the Enan'idra to have built them, whilst others believe that the prisces of Ilal-Bilendiuer built them to connect his people with his presence.
History
The island that Selynn is built on is very mystic and magical in nature. The Elves describe that they felt an inexplicable calling to it when they first arrived to Evermist. Many believe that it was the place that Ilal-Bilendiuer sent his presence after the fall of Old Entalitildor. The isle is where the Elves first wandered to, and there, they held a month-long celebration in praise for Ilal-Bilendiuer bringing them a new home.
