Kingdom Elkenets
Kingdom Elkenets (also known as Kingdom of the Elk) is a northern kingdom that is ruled over by The Empire of Roscrea. Its capital city is the city of Elkuened. It controls the entire Dudelldan Peninsula. It was founded in 5222 2E after the Dwarves sold present-day Northern Roscrea. It received its name due to the large population of elk that live on the peninsula, as well as its founding king being a prominent elk hunter. It is considered a Northman kingdom, as it resides in Northern Roscrea, a region home to the Northman people.
Layout and Geography
Kingdom Elkenets can be separated into an eastern and western portion, divided by the Reaching Mountains in which its capital, Elkuened rests upon its southern edge. The east is considered far more dangerous and untamed than the west, as the east contains much of the same wild nature and beasts that lived in Roscrea before the Humans arrived from the Old Lands. To the southeast of Elkuened lies Fort Hallowcreek, a small fort that is known for being owned and led by the first born of the king of the kingdom. to the north of Fort Hallowcreek is a small inlet from the Kenhardt River that is a popular fishing spot within the land, as well as the Deep Hills, which are notorious for their dangerous troll population. To the north of the inlet is the Wasteland, a treacherous and desolate region. To the east of the Wasteland lies Spiddlecradle, and to the east of that, the Dark Pine Woods.History
Second Era
After the Dwarves had sold Northern Roscrea to the Humans in 5220 2E, large tracts of land were now available for settlement. Hearks, who are a semi-intelligent species that were native to the region, took unkindly to the advancing Humans who were traveling beyond the Kenhardt River. A battle took place between the two sides, taking place on the Lonely Isles. The Roscrean forces would prove victorious, and the Heark Settlement known as Elrn was placed under Roscrean control and the Hearks were placed into indentured servitude. Two prominent figures rose from the Battle of the Lonely Isles, those being Brail Shaper, and Dalani Blueblood. Brail had beheaded the leader of the Hearks during the battle, causing their forces to route.
