Lord's tower ruins

After The Curtain fell and the Extinction ended, each one of the Lords spread out to pick the territory that will belong to them. When they did, the chosen area changed, reflecting their aspects in different ways. Those territories are called Domains and Lords can affect and manipulate most of their properties whenever they want. At the same time, wherever each Lord stood (or floated), a giant Tower started growing around them. Those spires, visible from very far away, mark their lands becoming grim reminders of what they did. While the world around them changes, the Towers and their Domains stay mostly the same. At least until the Lord gets killed.

Castle without its owner

Whenever a Lord gets killed, their Tower will immediately start to change. The highest levels start to collapse while the core concept of the fallen Lord, if not collected, moves to the basement or highest still standing point of the tower, as far from the humans and other land-dwelling beings, as possible. When that happens, it starts to go haywire without its ruler, manifesting itself all around the Domain. It'll continue to do so until someone removes the core or a Spirit consumes it. Though not many spirits tend to do so, no matter how tempting the price of consuming one of the concept cores as the burst of power that shoot out of the ruined tower can simply evaporate them without any trace.

Resources

Depending on the fallen Lord and their aspect, their Domains might become treasure troves of resources that might be hard to gather from anywhere else. While the danger of traversing the Domain that went haywire might be as bad or even worse than when Lord still was alive, in some cases it might be well worth it as it could make surviving in the changed world wayu easier for many people.
