Glacian/Fracian
A long forgotten race that is seldom known towards the rest of the universe. Everything we know about this civilization is through archaeological records throughout the galaxy and Glacia. They are clearly akin to an advanced race in a pulp magazine and yet they make us look backwards by comparison. I think we have a lot to learn from them.-1980 report on Glacia.

Social Structure
Elective/hereditary monarchy with council composing of members from the Churches or institutions originating from the Churches. Each member of the council operates as a minister of our world with the regent being the mediator and ultimate decision maker. The ruler is normally hereditary but can be thrown out for a number of reasons and replaced.
Most Churches operate a social function or was the origins of the system and the influence can be seen in their structure. Many members of society are apart of a church or worked under one.

Naming Traditions
Targa, Rano and Vultor for males.
Family names for important people, royals and celebrities tend to take on a color associated to their church (sometimes other major associations) Every Glacian has their own take on it but the common structure is to put it on the end of your name. For example: King Rano Lias de Rouge. This signifies that the person, Rano, and he identifies under the red church, De Rouge. There is a legal process to change this bit and is usually a sign of a political/philosophical change or even a job change.

By 1950, Glacia became the last known remnant of the planet of Fracia and it's civilization.
Beauty Ideals
Historically it should resembled what it would be in Earth's Medieval Times and grew from there. Outside of pretty dresses for the nobles, every church will have their own ideals of beauty including wealth (red), how they express themselves (Orange) and intelligence (Indigo),
Gender Ideals
Historically it should resembled what it would be in Earth's Medieval Times. The concept of gender equality rose up earlier due to the existence of female warriors and monarchs and ended up being more or less egalitarian by the time that King Rano organized the Glacian project.
Courtship Ideals
Again should resembled that of Earth's Medieval Europe and related fantasy and again they developed from there. They also love the flair for the romantic and poetic.
Relationship Ideals
Their relationship ideals stem from their variaton of Courtly Love and evolved into a more egalitarian ideal by Rano's time. LGTBQ became a presence and accepted within their society.
Average Technological Level
Obtained interstellar colonization. Going by Glacia they were capable of surviving Earth's pre-historic environment through a means of surviving in a cryogenic state that was caused from the cold climate of the arctic and their technology; This was triggered by an alignment with the star Polaris. Glacia's heating system is reliant on a solar panels sensitive enough to pick up light from Polaris to Earth. Other inventions known includes gliders and liquid air guns.
Major Language Groups and Dialects
Common Fracian. Speech tends to use poetic sentence structures. Colors are significant to Fracians and it's reflected in their language as well; figures of speech will use colors in their phrasing. Many adjectives also are rooted in colors.
Common Etiquette Rules
Note that the common etiquette varies between time periods and societies. One notable point is that many of the nobles, celebrities and other important people to behave similar to Earth's medieval royalty in both fantasy and reality. On a related point, most Fracians cultivate a reputation and aim to not ruin it. Social status is important and a negative status can detrimental at best.

Common Fracians wear whatever color they want. It used to be that one would have to wear the color of their denomination, homeland or patron god but in it's modern history this social tradition was dropped.
Royalty, politicians and other important figures wear the colors of their denomination and/patron god. Used to be all the time but in their modern history this was pushed to formal and important events.
Culture and Cultural Heritage
To Earth, they look like a 50's sci fi alien race with a medieval bent but going through their development it is noted that they developed similar media to Earth.
Differences includes: Ballads being a common form of songwriting, monarchies developing it's functionality well into the space faring days and a international religion that promotes peace and unity
Common Customs, Traditions and Rituals
Day of Unity: In Fracian history, there was holy wars and conflicting denomination until many of them used their power to unite to stop many of these conflicts. This holiday is to celebrate this peace and the concept and ideal of unity along with a unification of various denominations.
Fashionwise, if your important you wear the colors of your denomination or patron god.
Common Taboos
Due to their biological growth being extended and view of 27 to be a legal adult, They genuinely are disgusted by humanity what humanity considers an age of consent, when they become an a legal adult and army registration.
By King Rano's time, false accusations is seen as annoying and will hurts your standing in society.
History
Due to existing 5 million years before the 1940's, much of Facian history is missing. What is known however is that before the White Church oversaw many of the color churches and day of unification there were holy wars over religion and denomination.
Between the Day of Unification and King Rano's departure, it is known that the planet had to deal with religious hate and prosecution based on what color of clothes on wore.
Like with humanity, there were various efforts to progress society into a better state of existence. Their progress involved revamping and tweaking their system of monarchy and recontextualizing their religion and associated beliefs.
In the 1950's, the only known survivor of the race is a colony known as Glacia on the planet Earth. Founded by King Rano and populated with many people who sought a second chance, they struggled to survive on this new planet until the cold and ice brought a 5 million years sleep. A hidden gem and promise handed down from a Deity of the Red Court to King Koliak and the Inuit gods; it was discovered by Nelvana of the Northern Lights.
Through Nelvana's adventures there along with her budding friendship with the royal family, the civilization grew to trust her and accept her as one of their own. They eventually revealed themselves to Canada and later the world. The relationships they built are rocky. The technology and science they provided gave humanity a boost in science and technology.
Throughout the later centuries the race died out and bred with humanity.

Largely unknown except for some basic history as the Glacian colony were expecting to receive more detailed information as trade routes were established.
As of their "recent" history Vultor The Villainous carved a name for himself as a criminal mastermind.
Common Myths and Legends
The United Churches of Light predominantly along with a few other mythologies
The UCL, as it's commonly referred, is a polytheistic religion whose divinity is sorted through color. There 7 courts of gods with each focusing on a specific color.
Many of the myths about deities resemble that of a royal court drama.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
Able to breed with humans. Because of this they folded into Earth's human population eventually.

What I was going for for this build is something similar to medieval Europe. The thing is how do I write it for a sci fi setting. In sci fi literature, it is common for an alien race to have a hat or a generalized theme and I wouldn't doubt that Glacia would've been like this as well. I chose to have their hat be the medieval aliens of this universe; their flavor being the feudal future. I also made them have elements of progressiveness because since they reached to a point where not only space colonization was feasible but also somehow work out the capacity the cryogenically preserve themselves for 5 million years would mostly either had to progress beyond their medieval state, fall back into it or adjust it to suite their needs. Also being an alien society with a multi-sect church means they won't look exactly like our medieval times.
