Lightsinger Theater
The Castle Ward's premiere opera house in Waterdeep, the Lightsinger Theater is renowned worldwide for its lavish productions and exceptional sound design. Although typically quite expensive, (1gp minimum) the Theater has a weekly matinee where all tickets are given out for a nominal fee (2sp) as a service to the city.
Right across from the Market, the Lightsinger theater is a central location for any Waterdavian noble's ideal night out.
History
The Lightsinger was designed by famed Waterdavian architect Frannie Woad Light, who wished to provide a space for the arts in the heart of Waterdeep. Construction began under Open Lord Gygax, but was not completed until the reign of Open Lord Greenwood. It was Greenwood who created the Waterdeep Endowment for the Arts, which underwrites a weekly matinee intended to be accessible to any citizen of the city.Bar Menu
