Minister of Coin Ousted in Scandal; Victoro Cassalanter Appointed to Fill Vacancy - Thalara Norishk

In a sudden turn of events, Waterdeep’s Minister of Coin, Lirian Deepvault, has been removed from office following a scandal that has shocked the city. The Open Lord of Waterdeep, Laeral Silverhand, made the decision after irrefutable evidence came to light regarding Deepvault’s mishandling of city funds and involvement in corrupt financial dealings. Citizens have expressed outrage as more details emerge, and the Waterdeep Guard is reportedly conducting further investigations into the scope of the scandal.   In response to this unexpected vacancy, Victoro Cassalanter, a well-known philanthropist and financier of impeccable reputation, has been named the new Minister of Coin. Cassalanter, a respected figure in the city’s social and financial circles, is known for his charitable work and involvement in numerous civic causes.   When asked if his recent acquisition of a controlling interest in the Guild of Miners and Smelters created a potential conflict of interest, Cassalanter countered:   “In all my official dealings, I will conduct myself with the transparency and integrity that the people of Waterdeep deserve and should come to expect. My service to this city will always prioritize the interests of its citizens above any personal or business endeavors.”   The new Minister of Coin’s appointment has been met with cautious optimism from the financial sector, with many hoping that his leadership will restore stability and trust to the city’s treasury.
