Captain Hyustus Staget is a veteran officer in the City Watch, assigned to the Dock Ward. Experienced and unshaken by the darker sides of city life, Staget is known for being tough, pragmatic, and difficult to rattle. He has spent years navigating one of Waterdeep’s roughest districts and carries himself like someone who has seen far worse than most care to imagine.
The party first encountered him during their investigation into the kidnapping of Floon Blagmaar. After lingering too long at a crime scene, they were interrupted by a City Watch patrol. Jonnie charmed one of the guards, and the officer who entered the scene was recognized by Kostas as Captain Staget.
Staget listened to Renaer Neverember’s partial account of the incident, including an admission that Jonnie had cast a charm spell. Renaer justified the action due to the Kenku’s use of mimicry earlier in the encounter. Staget accepted the explanation and allowed the party to leave without consequence, though he warned them to exercise better judgment in the future.
