Roldax (a.k.a. Roldy)

Roldax 'Roldy' is the reigning boss of the cutthroat pirate gang that owns and terrorises multiple quadrants of space. He is a slimy, sleazeball who has gained and kept power not through earning the loyalty of his pirates but through paying the toughest muscles and using them to enforce his will. He is well known for betraying his own people, backstabbing allies and renegading on deals. However since he pays the most and owns the majority of criminal outposts even outwith the pirate territory, many have little option but to rely on him.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Has a hunched back from years of desk work and age has made his limbs even more spindly than normal.

Body Features

Every ageing Echlion will eventually develop a small hunched back, however Roldax has an advanced version after years hunched over a desk. His fur is receding and patchy and his limbs have become stickly and brittle.

Facial Features

Roldy was never by definition an 'attractive' Echlion and age has done nothing to assist him. His fur is receding and showing more of the skin that is now taught and stretched, highlighting the bat-like bone structure.

Apparel & Accessories

Tends to dress decadently, in fine clothes and fabrics with garish colours and plenty gold.

Personal history

Roldy worked for years doing the seedy documentation for criminal rackets and organisations. He siphoned and embezzled money from all until he had enough to hire some muscle. He used these to move in on each of the rackets until he controlled them all and joined them together into one pirate outfit. Now he lives a life of decadence and has done for the past decade. His luxurious lifestyle and willingness to throw them all under the bus has earned him the ire of many of his 'employees'. Especially since most on Karthi live in filth and squalor in the slum city and have to look up to Roldy's extravagant quarters above.

Contacts & Relations

Ace - Ace and Roldy have a cantankerous relationship. Ace is his employee and has no other options for work and income as no one else pays the rates he can. Roldy is aware of this and is always talking down to her about the fact that he 'made her' in reference to it being his decision to train her as an assassin. He constantly belittles and disparages Ace, knowing she has no choice but to accept it or lose her income and home. Roldy views Ace as his own personal kill gopher and always sends her on inconsequential or simple jobs below her skill level just to amuse himself at her chagrin. Ace restrains herself from killing Roldy every time she encounters him. She plans to one day kill him slowly and take his power and position from him.

Orri - Orri is a pirate and mercenary in Roldy's gang. Orri hates Roldy because of how the Echlion treats both Orri and Ace and die to Roldy's general demeanor. Roldy views Orri as a pest that he has to tolerate since Orri works with Ace.

Zoa - Zoa is Roldy's plant in Ace's crew. She reports back to him and informs him of their actions and updates. She is entirely loyal to Roldax.

Has a high pitched, squeaky voice but speaks in a rough, crude dialect.
