Al Qatabi
The Glittering Sea is a mesmerizing landscape of quartz and marble, eroded into a shining desert as deadly as it is beautiful. A river runs across the eastern edge towards the sea, and on it lies an oasis of greenery. Al Qatabi grew in the oasis, an exotic city thriving in a hostile land. Its ties to the Empire are weak and exist only nominally, though it does benefit from trade to the old continent. The only other mage in Fjollotr lives in the city, his powers lending him a position amongst the council of elders who rule the city.
