Vasqu'au
The elven living fortress of Vasqu’au looms over the river, just at the edge of the Mistveil. It is also known as the City of Shadows, as its tall, organic architecture bathes the streets in a permanent shadow. The citadel is carved into the very walls of what was once a world tree. Jagged organic towers spike tall into the sky, giving the massive fortress a sinister appearance. Once, thousands of Elves lived in its grand halls. Decades of unrelenting war with the Utlaegr have left the city inhabited only by the Elven Vanguard, a force just large enough to keep the Utlaegr from claiming the citadel.
