The Pale King
Shrouded in mystery and fable, he is said to walk with one foot in the realm of the dead, and possesses a powerful artifact that allows him to amplify his impressive powers. The storied leader of the Pale Elves is notoriously reclusive, even amongst the Elves, themselves wraith-like in their isolation. Many doubt the Pale King is even still alive, given that his last appearance at the placeholder court dates back at least a century, but his legend still commands fear and respect, until once again he rises in his people's darkest hour.
It is said in whispers amongst the Elves of the Emerald coast that he has remained still for so long the land itself has claimed it as one of her own, and his soul now inhabits the Green Spire itself. In truth, he is a compassionate ruler driven to the deepest depths of desperation by an ancient enemy from another realm.
