Spatiose
Hardy sailors in search of a better life landed on the Caedis Spar long before the Empire set its sights on Jotun. The land was harsh, rocky and windswept. Nothing would grow in what little salty dirt there was, except for hardy little trees. Despite this, the sailors settled the area, and discovered that while farming would never be possible, the fish were plentiful, and so a curious city rose from the rock. Where lumber was unavailable, the settlers used bone, harvested from the great beasts of the deep. Spațios now boasts a thriving fishing town, who use carved fishbones and pearls as currency. Upon encountering the Empire, they found their economy suddenly booming as aristocrats rushed to purchase their pretty pearls.
