Coldharbour

When Kvia found its prisons overflowing with criminals, they found a novel solution. The most dangerous amongst them were gathered up, chained together in a boat, and dropped off on the most uninhabitable place they could think of: the very tip of the Caedis Spar. Marooned without food and water, they quickly turned on each other to survive. Doing so, a small population of criminals managed to survive long enough for a passing fishing boat to be hijacked. Thus began the pirate colony of Coldharbour, hidden deep inside the twisted caves of the peninsula. Kvia quickly caught on, and stopped sending criminals, though the damage was done. Within a decade, the pirates had acquired a small fleet. Soon, smugglers and all manner of fugitives from Barium and Vella Rus would stumble across the hidden cove, and would almost unanimously join. It wasn’t long before the pirates of Coldharbour were running a smuggling chain all along the coast, and taking on the formidable Kvian Navy with their sloops and captured warships.
