Jotun

Jotun, land of the exiled Warborn, home to both the mighty Sueari Domain and the nomadic tribes of the Glittering Sea. The honorable Utlaegr have carved out their own place in the cold forests of the north, while humans are just beginning to establish themselves on the barren southern shores. A volatile brew of republics and free cities claims ownership to the east on the Emerald Coast, and there are rumours of beings that outlive civilizations shaping cultures from the shadows.

Geography

A great mountain ridge juts from the northern edge of the continent and skirts the entire northern shore. Snow caps the mountains and fertile valleys sit comfortably at their base. Just to the east, beyond the spine of Jotun's tallest peaks lie the fertile shores of the Emerald coast. This is the Triumvirate of Jotunheimr, to which the Utlaegr claim dominion, as well as it's vassal state, Fjollotr.   To the southeast lies the Argent Coast, a land buffeted by wind and carved by the sea. The imperial colonists earn a hardy living on the rocky shores, and survive through quartz and fish exports. The easternmost tip of the continent is host to a spattering of wind-blasted islands known as the Caedis Spar, home to rough sea-faring folk, a decent proportion of which are criminals and outcasts.   To the west of Jotunheimr lies Diarchy of Gorgoroth. The land is scarred and tainted with sorcery, widely believed to be the result of a legendary war between beings of godlike power, long ago. The very dirt is stained with an echo of past events, fated to repeat itself until magic itself fades. The Pale Elves make their home in the Elder forests, boughs of colossal trees in which they carve their citadels. These are areas even more saturated with ancient magic, and rumored to be the reason for the Singers, powerful mages of Pale Elven blood. Beyond them lie the lands of the Sueari Domain, ruled by the Elves of old, the Eladrin. Their lands bear the distinct shimmer of a land painted over by a thousand years of glamour, where reality is never quite aligned with what the senses reveal.   To the south and southwest lies a land both bereft of warmth and parched by the sun's harsh kiss. The Khezebour tribes roam the cold sands from oasis to oasis and mold their lives to the rhythms of the land with deceptive simplicity. A deep system of traditions and rituals hide an unbroken line of what may be the most powerful magi in the world, but theirs is a closed culture, and the affairs of the outside world does not concern the nomads of the Glittering Sea.   Below them, the southern shores of Jotun are home to the Emirate of Sharaar. While their nomadic heritage may have been forgotten, the Quenians have developped a rich culture, their borders reaching from deep within the Elven lands nearly all the way to the Emerald Coast.
