Hyperborea.The largest continent on Wandrei, Hyperborea is the main home of the various major Human societies, as well as one of the major entrances to the Underdark utilized by the Dwarves. It is a place of grand plateaus, rolling hills, impassable mountains, and misty forests, and is home to all manner of strange and wondrous beasts.

Fauna & Flora

Hyperborea has most of the flora and fauna found in any other temperate forested, mountainous, and grassland region, from mundane creatures such as deer, rabbits, wolves, and domestic animals, to monstrous beasts such as bulettes, ankhegs, hydras, and displacer beasts. Giants and dragons haven't been seen for hundreds of years in Arkham but are still found rarely in Hyborea, although the occasional dragonkin such as a wyvern, or giantkin such as ogres or trolls, are still found. Aberrant creatures, undead, and monstrous humanoids are the greatest threats to the civilised people of Hyperborea, particularly now that the Outer Gods' influence has begun increasing.

As for flora, much of the plains is general field grasses, wildflowers, and other generic field plants, and the forests are dominated by oaks, ash, yew, and holly trees. The marshes and swamps have more exotic trees and plants, like the carnivorous flytrap flowers, stranglevine creepers, myconid fungi, wraithwood and gallowbark trees, and the hyper-bouyant Luftwood trees, found in great groves in Arkham Country. The northern regions have more evergreens, and scrubgrass and shrubs that are more suited to cold temperatures.
