Hyborea
The Land of Three Kingdoms
Hyborea is the name for the larger portion of greater Hyperborea, where Cimmeria, Pictland, and Stygia are found. It emcompasses most of the landmass of the continent, but is isolated from Arkham Country by the near-impassable Derleth Mountains that run the whole width of the continent, and Anhur's Crossing, a landbridge that connects Hyborea and the desert of Severn.
Geography
Cimmeria to the north is comprised of mountainous terrain, and far in the north a frozen tundra. The Cimmerians have little in the way of fertile land, subsisting on what hardy crops will grow in the rocky soil, hunting, and raid spoils from clan raids to the south, east, and across the seas.
Pictland to the southeast is a highland territory of misty forests, lochs, swamps, and rolling hills, until it meets the Derleth Mountains. The Picts are great ranchers, leading massive flocks of farm animals and farming more than the Cimmerians, however the soil is still rocky and not fit for high-yield farming.
Stygia to the southwest connects to Anhur's Crossing and the desert to the west, and is a land of dark, foreboding forests, rocky canyons and small mountains, and innumerable entrances to the caves within and eventually the Underdark.
