Severn

The Endless Desert

Severn is the name of the subcontinent connected to greater Hyperborea by Anhur's Crossing, a landbridge between the desert and Stygia. It is a place of seemingly endless sand dunes, sparse oases, and sun-scorched rock.

Geography

Severn is entirely composed of desert. Various oases dot the sandy landscape, as do small outcroppings of rocky plateau, but for the most part the land is nothing but sand and sun. A single freshwater river springs from the largest plateau, close to the western coast, and this is the location of most of the population of Ra-Horakti, the ruling empire of Severn.

Fauna & Flora

Severn is full of flora such as cacti and palm trees, and closer to the Nile and the coast there are other types of mangrove trees and palms, but for flora that's about it. The desert hyenas, mice, snakes, and birds are the most common fauna, though there are other, more monstrous creatures that are much more common than other places, like the Purple Worm, giant scorpions, harpies, and other monsters of the dunes.
