Research Expedition Log #15
"While I am stuck in this dark citadel on the far away moon of Izi, as one of the only survivors of the research expedition, there is little to do but look up at the planet Tarsuros. That majestic king of the planets was made by the former king of the Elder Gods. It looks beautiful up there, in the night sky."

"I can see it, the great eye, the eye of Tarcur. That Great storm holding the prison of the Rena. Within a smaller nearby storm I can see a curious blackened object floating inside. Could that be Tazil's legendary palace, the one that can travel between worlds?"

"Those nameless horrors are almost through the door. I don't know if they will be the ones to kill me, or if the toxic sulphur will, but I am content with it happening under such a beautiful sight..."
- Caio, Scholar of the Irrelith College of Geology

King of the Worlds

Tarsuros is the largest planet in the known universe to those that live in the Iron Age. It appears as a small orange dot in the night sky from the world of Vreathe, but the world is massive. The great red storm, the Eye of Tarcur, can fit Vreathe inside it several times over. The planet Alomis, the second largest world in the known universe, isn't even half the size of Tarsuros.

It is said that all the worlds were created at the beginning of time, before there was even a sun. Tazil helped the god Alom to fashion a perfect sphere, of which the world Vreathe would eventually be. After that shapeless world was created, he planted the seed that would later grow into Meliheal, the World Tree. Tazil then got to work on creating various other worlds, the planets and moons across space. Tazil created all of the other worlds with his great power, whether it was Enzia, Rosia, or Yikonis. He even created Alomis and Vanethia, the domains of the Elder Gods Alom and Yanneth. The largest world he created for himself and it would be his domain for all time. This world was Tarsuros.

Moons of Tarsuros

History says there used to be four great moons of Tarsuros: Izi, Lazulia, Aros, and Nenaria. The biggest moon Nenaria was destroyed during the Golden Age, when the Elder Gods warred amongst themselves. Nenaria crashed into Tarsuros and sank beneath the clouds. The three remaining moons have been known and studied throughout the Silver, Bronze, and Iron Ages:

Lazulia

Lazulia is an ocean world. Tazil originally created it for his daughter Ibora, the Goddess of Water. Ibora travelled to many worlds on her travels bringing back many different forms of ocean species to put in her world. The result is that under the ice, Lazulia is filled with life with a level of diversity that only Vreathe can match in the universe.

Ibora left the world of Vreathe and the entire universe during the Silver Age, when she chased the All fire up Meliheal to put it out and prevent all of existence from ending. After she left, the spawn of Senget, The Wellspring a long dead Dragon Lord, took residence here. These people are the Sengar. There are several portals between Lazulia and Vreathe, and the Sengar regularly travel between the two worlds. On Vreathe they are kings of the various nations of Sea Elves.

Izi

Izi can best be described as a volcanic hell, most of it colored yellow due to the sulfurous wastes. Large areas of the world are broken apart and lava flows are quite common. Tazilr created this moon for his son Beirunes, the God of Fire. He also used this world to make his greatest creation the Dragon Lords.

Currently the moon is said to be a prison for Beirunes. He was able to find a portal to Vreathe in the past, where he nearly succeeded in destroying it, if it weren't for the Silver Race, who defeated him. He has been trying to find a way back to Vreathe ever since, sure of himself that there is another portal to Vreathe somewhere on his world. At least, that's what the legends say but those often aren't fully true...

Amazingly, there is life on this world. All three of Tazil's great moon have their own unique forms of life uniquely adapted to each world. Izi's life is adapted to the poisonous sulfur and the burning hot lava fields.

Aros

Aros is the current largest moon orbiting Tarsuros. The world is cold and icy but was once much warmer. Tazil created the moon Aros for his wife Nora, who could not near the tearing winds of Tazil's world. Nora had a palace built on the north pole of the world, where she stayed whenever she was not on Vreathe. Aros was once a bright world, filled with life, but after Nora left and Tarcur's new consort Lithane took over, it became a dark, twisted, hate filled place.

It was on this world that the Lithane created her vampires. She took those of the Silver Race and twisted them, posioning, and changing them. Then she sent them back to Vreathe to corrupt the land and prepare for her return to the world. Similar to Beirunes, Lithane's attempts at getting back to Vreathe have failed, but she is always trying. Able to corrupt minds, even from a great distance, she will eventually have a functioning blood stone to create a new portal, and when she does, Vreathe will tremble as darkness covers the land.

The Eye of Tarcur

The neverending great red storm on the world. It has been around since before the Golden Age began. When the Olimians started looking up at the heavens, this spot was there on the world. The Bronze and Iron Age humans also looked at it in wonder, but also in terror of what it helf.

the Eye of Tarcur is a prison, crushing the beings called the Rena under incredible depths of clouds and gravity. The Rena are suspended in a near infinitely dense, dark liquid, unable to move, unable to use their godly power. The tearing winds of the storm above are too much for most gods to bear, making entering and leaving the prison all but impossible unless you know the way. Once Tazil throws you in the eye, there is no escape unless he allows it.

The Rena were originally other Elder gods. Multiple sets of Elder gods were each given a seed to create a world tree at the beginning of time. Only the set of Elder Gods we know were successful in creating a world, Normally called the Tetrad of Vreathe: Alom, Yanneth, Nora, and Tazil. The Rena grew jealous and set out to destroy Meliheal. This caused a great war of the cosmos. Several worlds were destroyed in this war, such as the moon Nenaria, while others were marred beyond recognition.

The Tetrad of course won that war and the Rena were thrown into the eye. Some legends say that Tazil then used the power of these defeated gods to create the Dragon Lords. Another story says that Tazil was able to defeat the Rena because of the Dragon Lords, his greatest creations. He then took the defeated Rena and imprisoned them in the depths of the Eye of Tarcur, where they will never escape and their power will never have an influence over anything.

It is also said that Tazil also used this prison to make many, many members of the Gold Race lose all hope and give up on existence. He would capture them on Vreathe, and unable to kill these immortal beings, he would cast them into the depths of this prison. These golden humans could easily survive here, but the gravity was crushing, there was no escape, there was no movement, and there was no light. There was nothing but them and an eternity of loneliness. All they had available to them was to give up. They would then close their eyes and fade away from reality, going to some far off paradise, free from the darkness. As more and more of the golden race rave up on life, Tarcure was ever close to this goal of summoning the creator Silnos to pass judgement on Vreathe and end everything.

Author's Notes

Most of this information existed on this world in some form for well over a year, but you had to dig through a chronicle in order to find it, hidden on a side map, and then had to click on a dozen entries with barely a sentence of information each....yeah, not a great way to present something. So I retyped, reworded, and greatly expanded the information for a proper article!
