Shadowed Mire

The plane of lost souls. Once a mortal has died Myrkul's reapers enter Volserd and rip the souls from their bodies, sending them to the Soul Cairne, slowly rendering them back into pure Aether energy. Any living being that dies here is immediately vaporized and pulled into the Soul Cairne. Myrkul may will for their soul to be saved in return for eternal service. Those who give their souls for more life are brought back as one of the fiendish soldiers of Myrkul's champions.
