Celestials

The Celestials are 12 foot tall divine beings with glowing wings. They almost always appear to be beautiful blue elven women with white hair and wings. (Renere and Beskytter are the only Celestials in myth that are described as masculine, but it is also believed by some that these entities simply do not conform to sexual dimorphism or any humanoid concept of gender.) Typically, they wear white gowns. They can fly and emit powerful radiant blasts from their bodies. While they come from the Midt-Ytre, they visited Voktegård and seeded her with sapient life eons ago. When killed, like all divine beings, they release a Shadow. They established the Old Religion which most people now regard as a grand deception intended only to task the Vaettir with standing guard over the Darkness locked inside Voktegård. Ever since the Heroes of the Fourth Age misguidedly called out to the Celestials, they have been sending ever-growing numbers of their divine army to "reset" Voktegård to the Second Age.
