The Expedition of the Broken Blade
Following the defeat of Karadra and her company in the face of the formidable Taarum Thiaspis, revelations about the malevolent activities beneath the Vespia Sea came to light for the order of the Blade Guardians. Responding to this dire situation, some of the remaining members, amidst internal discord and a lack of unified leadership, organized an expedition to confront Taarum and expel him from his underwater realm.
The attack, led by Odarion Whiteshield, Morgeth the Black, and Iliandor Irion, with the support of the lone survivor from Karadra's crew, Arsik Derois, faced substantial challenges. The order, already in disarray, struggled to maintain cohesion and unity during this critical period. Regrettably, Iliandor Irion appeared to abandon the fight, leaving the effort compromised.
Descending into Taarum's lair, the Blade Guardians confronted overwhelming odds, leading to their eventual defeat and tragic demise. Despite the losses, the valiant efforts of the Guardians dealt a significant blow to Taarum's power, compelling him to abandon his underwater lair and cease his malevolent activities in the Vespia Sea. The expedition, though fraught with internal strife and ultimate sacrifice, achieved a measure of success in thwarting Taarum's influence.
