Emerith Mastar "Spellweaver", a mage hailing from the outskirts of Lahar in Exotia, gained notoriety due to an ill-fated magical ritual gone awry. Seeking to alleviate the drought-ridden lands surrounding his village, Emerith inadvertently summoned a catastrophic downpour of fire, resulting in the tragic demise of the local populace.
In a desperate attempt to undo the devastation, Emerith sought the assistance of a renowned priestess of the First Phoenix, only to be met with unyielding silence. Undeterred, he embarked on a perilous experiment to create a phoenix of his own. However, the unintended outcome manifested as an icy phoenix, devoid of the expected fiery essence.
Despite the creature's misshapen form and inherent weaknesses, Emerith persisted in believing that its core power remained intact. The slow and fragile creature, unable to fly and prone to leg fractures, stumbled toward the village center. As its wings unfurled, an explosive burst occurred, transforming the entire village into an icy tableau.
