Purpose

The song "21 Seagulls" was composed by Dizan Alson, a member of the 21 Seagulls, the pirate crew led by Mascardi Berio. Dizan wrote the song to affect the rumor of their expedition in a positive way, presenting the pirate raids as bold adventures of brave men. The song soon became widely known as the anthem of the seafarers.
