Legion of Light

Clad in exquisitely decorated armor, soldiers of the Legion of Light can often be found patrolling the streets of Gildenburg. Having been the longest standing military presence in Gildenberg, they are generally highly respected by the citizens. They have many outposts though out the city and their headquarters is located on Aygragar's Beacon.

Public Agenda

Members that join the Legion of Light swear to a lifetime devoted to Aygragar and the light. Their sole duty is to rid to streets of evil, and establish a land of justice and peace. They are incredibly disciplined and well organized.

History

The Legion of Light was created soon after the rise of The Primum Desh. In 11,256 Musa'ja Zurvan, a member of the Primum Desh and a hailed hero, traveled to Gildenburg. On a small island off the coast, he performed a ceremony with thousands of citizens watching on. As the sun reached its highest point in the sky, Musa'ja raised his staff towards the sky. A beam of divine light shone down upon him and after uttering his blessings, he brought the staff back down upon the land sending out a shockwave of light.
Until that point, it was only speculation on how Omus truly fell. That day, every onlooker was made a believer and the new age of magic had dawned on the growing city.
He deemed the island as a sacred site, for those in Gildenburg to forever be protected from darkness. Aygragar's Beacon was quickly the site of a new cathedral, establishing The Luminous Union, the most prevalent religion in Gildenburg to this day. Soon after, in order to enable a more mobile force for good, the Legion of Light was established.
