Danger of the Black Sea

Verse 1
So gather round, me hearty crew,
I've got a tale to share.
About a beast below the waves,
I pray you don't get scared.
For no one survives the monster,
That hides in darkened seas.
For it can kill a ship and crew,
As easy as can be.
  Chorus
Beware to sail across black seas,
For danger lurks beneath.
Beware to sail in mystery,
For you may not come home.
  Verse 2
Two beady eyes, a sharpened beak,
And scales along its back.
Heavy hitting appendages,
Covered in salty slime.
Prepare harpoons, and netting too,
It might give you some time.
Jump overboard and into blue,
It cannot follow you.
  Chorus
Beware to sail across black seas,
For danger lurks beneath.
Beware to sail in mystery,
For you may not come home.
  Verse 3
Shadowed oceans terrify men,
But yet they venture deep.
For they seek a treasured vessel,
That's wrecked on sandy land.
Mountains of gold and dead crew bones,
That is the heart's desire.
And magical silver tomes,
That grant the wildest things.
  Chorus
Beware to sail across black seas,
For danger lurks beneath.
Beware to sail in mystery,
For you may not come home.
  Final Chorus
Beware to sail across black seas,
For treasure lies inside.
Escape in time and you'll survive,
To see you home once more.

A sea shanty that came about after the loss of Captain Hoarwae and his crew in the year 4509. Where it was rumoured they were heading back to Oralyn to reveal magical relics discovered from the Untouched Lands. But on a stormy night the ship got lost and entered the Black Sea, a dark spot in the oceans full of mystery. No one saw Hoarwae and his men ever again and it is presumed the ship was wrecked on a distant island, along with the treasure.
