Era beginning/end

The last son of the Mitfield House, Jacob Mitfield, is immediately recalled from duties on the Eastern Sea to be appointed as the next King, as per the edicts of emergency succession outlined in the Rupert Accord.   The Designated Survivor of the Lower House, Jacques Ranier, is immediately appointed the Prime Minister by emergency decree as outlined in the Rupert Accord.   Cardinal Charles Faust of the Architect faction of the Church of the Great Design is immediately appointed the next Chalicemaster and overall Head of the Church.
