Keterden

Located on the west coast of Aikall this country is directly controlled by twelve noble families, The Twelve of Keterden, each of which control either a specific territory or element of society. They are held in check by the thirteenth house who do not control any particular part of society. They are still deferred to by the other houses, considered as arbiters of the peace. Many historians have inquired into the nature of this arrangement but nobody has ever been willing to discuss how such an arrangement came about. Geographically diverse with Jungles to the north west, mountains to the north and rolling fields to the south. Its flag shows a twelve rayed star representing the twelve ruling noble houses and the white star in the center represents the thirteenth house of Drethuneo.

Structure

Six provinces cover the lands plus the area directly surrounding the capital city.

Military

The Keterden military is composed of mainly land based forces with a small naval presence in Keter's deep (The Bloody Sea). The land forces are comprised of infantry, cavalry, and artillery, with their artillery considered the the most effective in the known world. This was due to the tenants of one famous major who rose to be their commander and chief of their armies, major N. Gnomnaparte.
