Wild Elves
These are the remnants of the Elven Culture that still exists on the continent of Nidira. They are for all intensive purposes Wood Elves from the Player's Handbook. However, they are broken up into two distinctive subraces that are options as well if the player is so inclined to take them. Both of the Clans so to speak are matriarchal societies and they manage to live in unison despite some distinct differences in their looks and preferred environments as well as social rigidness that can exist in one or the other.
The two subraces are the:
Tierkara (Nightshade) Elves: The Nightshade Wild Elves are more reclusive in nature, they find themselves most comfortable under the darkened canopy of a bramble or forest. They are expert hunters and marksmen as well as masters of stealth and subterfuge. They belay their quiet nature with boisterous festivals in there settlements as well as a love wine and meat. Their light almost white or purple hued skin and larger pupils speak to their lives in the dark forest beds of the wilds as well as the development of a tapetum lucidum or eyeshine like many nocturnal animals have. They tend more towards neutral alignments and often times are quite chaotic in nature. But unless they are exposed to or raised in an evil place of nature they do not tend toward evil alignments.
Gildress (Goldvale) Elves: The Goldvale Wild Elves are much more open than that of their dark counterparts. Preferring to live high up in the trees of forests or around springs and streams teaming with life. Anywhere that the sun touches nature is good enough for the Gildress. These folk are highly in tune with nature and tend towards more druidic paths in life. They value all that the natural world provides and are not ones to turn away someone in need. They are more refined than most however and this can be just as off putting as the darkened state of the Tierkara, as people can sometimes take this refinement as acts of pompous ignorance. However, never has someone gotten to know a Goldvale elf and gone away with the same thoughts they had going in, well that is not always the case but for the most part the Goldvale tend more towards good alignments not often lending themselves to the darker spectrum.
