Themia

Goddess of Divine Justice, Peace, and Wisdom

Themia, Mother of Peace is one of the Astrum, and the goddess of divine justice and peace. She is known as Lady Wisdom, the Wife of Justice (symbolically and referring to her husband Nixus), and Mother of Peace. Themia is also goddess of the still waters, calm weather, and peacetime. Themia is one of the few Astrum who never created any species, though it is said that her contributions to the work of other gods has been fundamental in the creation of Veteria. Themia is the great peacekeeper, boasting more worshippers and temples than any other deity, and being revered by almost every race.

Divine Domains

• Order Domain. Themia is one of the goddesses of Order, and bestows clerics and paladins that worship her with power from the domain of order. She values discipline and obedience, and the order of law.

• Peace Domain. Themia is the goddess of peace, and bestows her clerics with divine power from the domain of peace. Themia inspires people of all sorts to resolve conflict and to stand up against those forces that try to prevent peace from flourishing.

Tenets of Faith

• Divine Justice. Themia encourages spirituality and tolerance of other faiths, but condemns evil or chaotic deities, they are an affront to the Weaver. Followers of unrighteous gods must be made to see the light, or be forever silenced for the greater good.

• Peace. Violence is a weapon of last resort. Diplomacy and understanding are the paths to long-lasting peace.

• Wisdom. Your heart and mind must stay clear, for eventually you will be forced to admit defeat. While every creature can be redeemed, some are so far along the path of evil that you have no choice but to end their lives for the greater good. Any such action must be carefully weighed and the consequences fully understood, but once you have made the decision, follow through with it knowing your path is just.
