Percival Gideon

House Head (a.k.a. The Stag)

Justice, Honesty, Honor

Percival Gideon was born into a large lowborn family. His father was a blacksmith, and his mother was a seamstress, and he had an older brother who died in a freak accident while hunting. Percival's father was an honorable and just man, who cared deeply about his family and friends, and he inspired Percival with stories of honorable knights as he grew up. Percival longed to become a Knight, and he saved his coin he got from working the anvil so he could get swordsmanship lessons from a retired knight that lived in his village. The Knights name was Arthur, and he was a renowned swordsman that served under the King in a war against the High Elves. He was a fast learner, and the Knight soon trained him for free. They became very close, and when he was 14, he participated in his first tournament. He met another young hopeful there, a man named Aurelius, and they soon became best friends, practicing together often. Aurelius soon rose to become a Knight, and a year after Aurelius was Knighted, Percival was as well, when he was only 19. During the War of Inauguration, Percival served as Aurelius's second in command, and he was eventually rewarded with his own keep, the Pendragon Citadel. He married the daughter of his mentor Arthur, who he had long been fond of, when he was 22, and they had a single child named Ceric Gideon in 1270. Percival died of natural causes when he was 92 years old.
