Pendragon Citadel

House of Blades

The Pendragon Citadel is an old and large castle built onto the side of a sunny mountain. The castle was created in 1025 by House Karas, a noble house known for their diplomacy and honor. House Karas lived there for over 200 years, and during the ancient Elven wars with Allysium, the castle and its inhabitants successfully defended against a mighty siege. By 1269, House Karas had no male heirs, and the only child of it's patriarch married a powerful lord, Aurelius Caedus. Aurelius combined their Houses, and most of House Karas's assets were absorbed into House Caedus. Due to this, most of House Karas moved into Whiteridge, home of House Caedus. Aurelius decided to give Pendragon Citadel to his best friend and most loyal Knight, Percival Gideon.

Under House Gideon, the Citadel was given new life. Percival Gideon had the castle renovated and had many parts of the castle either fixed or remodeled completely. House Gideon revolutionized Knighthood in Hemlock, and many knights were and still are trained there, leading to some calling the castle the "House of Blades". House Gideon treats the castle as a point of pride, and it is considered one of the nicest castles in all of Hemlock, with its mighty size and beautiful landscape. The castle is also considered impenetrable and is one of the most secure places in all of the world.
