The Northern Secession

Political event

After generations of thinning magical bloodlines and subsequent losses in their standing in court, the Northern nobility of Calios formed an alliance and seceded from the kingdom.   Calios attempted to thwart the rebellion by force, but their army was blocked by heavy defenses placed along the Wulpine Mountains. The ensuing stalemate ended when a harsh winter forced Calian forces to pull back and the kingdom to recognize the establishment of the Republic of Troth.
