Confederation Of Vestran States

"We won't stand for the guff of the other countries. The Consulate of Eropic, the Dynasties of Amarron, and the kingdoms of Fjallsgard can all go sink. We live by our own laws, and can handle ourselves. If any of ther other Barons have some choice words, they can go sink too."   -Mathieu Kitchen, Baron of Bardsbank
"The Barons of the different provinces may fight, swindle, backstab, and insult each other. But the thought of someone else trying it is unthinkable. Unless it was a religious war, The entirety of the Provinces would swing down on them like a cat to a mouse."   -Danielle Harp, Baroness of Scarberren
"Kivri willing, we shall all remain in good humors. Should we be tested by an outside force, then we shall respond as our god tells us. I wish mercy on them, for I shall offer none."   -William The Anointed Prophet, Fort Kivri
"I shan't be bothered by the drunk tirade of Bardsbank, nor the zealotry of the Fort. I only work to ensure I have a place to lay my head tomorrow. And I'll do what that takes."   -A note from Baron Heinrech Litvick, unavailable at the time of writing, Engelstown
"WeWood is full of Fae-folk, all wee and cutesy. But if you think a tiny sword canna hurt you, then try a hundred or so. That's what freedom means to the Free Folk of WeWood."   -Baron Rook Hjalt, first Pixie in office, WeWood
"Well, I dinna learn to ride a horse for a gallop around the fields, did I?"   -Baroness Celta Erid on the possibility of war after 30 years in office, Naviskek
"As long as I don't go first, then I'll go next. After you, of course."   -Baron Samuel Traipe, Tealton

Structure

Multiple Baronies that oversee finances, military, and societal planning. "Barons" may only have control over a certain field of influence, or may only oversee land and operate the basic infrastructure that they are given control of. Consultation on matters outside their range must be made, otherwise repercussions are likely.

Culture

Worshipers of Civri/Kivri/The Justicar, depending on region. The Southern Provinces are known for fanatic devotion and eccentric ritual. The peoples of North Vestra are more loose in religious practice, having a more secular worldview. This, coupled with magic in everyday life, causes division with the other provinces.   Culture of the North: Magic, Philosophy, and experimentation. The north is a largely untapped area in terms of expansion, with much unsettled woodland. This Province i by far the largest, but most of the towns are underdeveloped and rely on self-sufficiency. Scarberren is the one exception.   Culture of the Middle: Trade, Entertainment, and Tourism. Bardsbank is the main contributor to this, and its influence has earned the Middle province the allure of many hopeless romantics and starry-eyed bohemians.   Culture of the South: Religious, Militaristic, and Humble. The Southern Provinces (Of which are two) have large populations of religious citizenry, and it shows in their everyday life. Iconography, daily routine, even infrastructure accomodates worship. Sects differ slightly from village to village, but all worship in a similar fashion. The bulk of the populace support the military of the provinces, of which make 2/3 of the Vestran army
