Kyorei are a species of mammalian dragons, or Bahal, who have evolved to the point of building their own civilizations in the form of small towns or villages. These creatures are very close in resemblance to canines, however with many differences in anatomy and sentience. The Kyorei, like many other Bahal and Kiza, can speak fluently and communicate with other species in what is considered the 'Common Tongue'. The Kyorei were once a single species that thrived in the forests, however, centuries ago, the Kyorei split off into three other biomes to expand and extend their knowledge of the world they called home. As a result of staying in these biomes, the Kyorei adapted, their physical appearance morphing to assist thriving in said habitats. Each species has grown to have separate cultures apart from one another, ranging from agriculture, to rites of passage, to holidays, etc. Below are the species, subspecies, and traits of Kyorei:
