A race of Dragons who'd never grown to adapt to the air and instead hunt and travel by land. Known in the past as "Kiza".

Anatomy

Kiza have a total of five claws on their front feet, their hind legs holding three adding up to four with a dew claw. Many Kiza only grow up to 5'6 in height from head to toe, some may stop shorter. They don a total of 4 to 5 spikes on their heads. They may also grow horns if at all. Kiza, in general, grow up to have a bright and vibrant assortment of colors in youth and don various arrangements of bodily spines. However, as they age, said vibrant colors begin to dim and become less saturated and/or darker.

Genetics and Reproduction

In order for a male to attract a female, the male Kiza must show a display of either their brawn, or their cunning. If either fit the part, the female is expected to lay 5 to 6 eggs over the course of 8 months.

Growth Rate & Stages

Kiza do not take very long to grow and can grow up to three feet within a month's time. From the very moment they hatch, their eyes are open and their claws are ready to take their first prey.

Ecology and Habitats

Kiza typically can survive anywhere they can reach on foot. Temperate, Tropical, Taigas, either sorts of habitats are well enough for them to thrive in. Most, however, prefer grasslands and/or forests. Depending on their environment, their body shape will be different (i.e: Longer, bulkier, etc.)
Kiza typically can become territorial over their homes should they find a foreign creature a threat to themselves. If not a threat, then they are cautious until said creature proves otherwise. Most Kiza can become lenient when another of their species, however, or if someone else arrives injured.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Kiza, in general, are carnivorous and need meat for sustenance. They will actively hunt for either smaller fauna or something as big as themselves. Afterward, they will take their hunt into the nearest tree to consume uninterrupted.

Social Structure

Kiza are fairly social creatures and will gather in large packs of up to ten members. Once the pack becomes too large, they will begin forcing others out of their group. This is especially if young Kiza become of age to leave on their own.

Facial characteristics

If the Kiza have a crest of spines, female Kiza will display a crest of spines on their heads curving upwards, whilst males display as straight crest of spines.
