Aga

Created by HikariDana
Risen undead from previous extinction. While they may be unnerving from afar, these creatures a far from hostile in anyway and will do what they can to help another tribe out.

Basic Information

Anatomy

The Aga only wield four limbs in total. Their body shapes range from boney and lanky to average and toned among individuals. Others may have a bit of chub going on. Because they are no longer living, many Aga will have open wounds of flesh, missing jaws, ore even an entire missing limb. The lack of skin or appendages, however, will not bother them in the slightest beyond a minor inconvenience.

Biological Traits

The Aga are mostly hairless, however, they don a mane from head to tail base. Often times, you may find an Aga with a portion of their tail missing only to be capped with a metal augment with a weapon of choice chained to it. Said augment and weapon are equipped with a relay crystal which grants the weapon levitation as to make travel and wielding said weapon much easier. It also makes attacking with weapon much easier!   On the side, Aga tend to sometimes wield either one or two elements. These elements being Fire, Poison Gas, Fear, and Corrosion.   The Fire of the Agai is purple in color and has a very unusual trait. The fallout of the flames, or rather the smoke, is very dense in nature and falls to the ground as a lavender fog of sorts.

Poison Gas is self explanitory in itself and is a manipulation of the Nature element. If threatened, an Aga may choose to exhale a poisonous gas that is capable of paralyzing enemies over time if prolonged to the effects. If left within the gas for too long, the opponent will either suffer Cardiac Arrest/Respiratory Failure, thus killing them from the inside out.

Fear is another unusual element and is a manipulated form of the element Shock. Not only does it cause horrific hallucinations to the Opponent in question, but it also can cause a burning/electrified sensation under prolonged effects. In layman's terms, one could essentially create a writhing, jittering puppet of a dancer.

Corrosion is much like acid in the terms of behaviors, however its nature ranges to more materials. It is also the manipulated form of the element Water. If it does not eat through the material, then it will simply degrade the material until it either rusts or becomes brittle. Either way, with enough of it, the material will either melt or break in the purple-black ichor.

Genetics and Reproduction

Because the species is unliving all together, males and females alike are sterile. It is because of this they now resort to rituals to 'create' eggs for willing parents. The eggs take up to 8 months to incubate so that they are fully formed upon hatching.

Growth Rate & Stages

The growth rate of an Aga is inconsistent. Some whelps may grow faster than others, some much, much slower. An unfortunate side effect to the ritual method. between 3 to 8 days will a whelp be able to stand, and between 9 to 13 will they be capable of running, galloping and trotting.

Ecology and Habitats

These creatures prefer the humid, swampier regions of the Umidus Rainforest. The dampness of the earth and the environment around them keeps their skin moist as they cannot stay dry for very long. Should they fall victim to dry skin, it will crack and flake, making it increasingly become uncomfortable to move about.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Agai are mainly scavengers and are not picky as to what they come across. They strongly prefer meat, but they do not have the need to eat as often as other living creatures. Rarely will they touch fish.   In any case, a favorite delicacy among all Aga are amphibians. The Aga absolutely love to hunt down smaller amphibians of all types ranging from frogs, salamanders, newts, toads, etc.

Additional Information

Social Structure

The Aga live in an absolute Monarchy. While they live under the rule of King Krauzer, they are not restricted from which who they associate with or who merchant Aga sell to.

Facial characteristics

Some male Aga are known to grow beards, some becoming rather long after a while.

Average Intelligence

For an undead species, most Aga are very capable of comprehensible speech and good morals. However some tend to degrade over time and have a hard time expressing what needs to be said or exploiting motor skills. Such are the few side effects of Necromancy.

Symbiotic and Parasitic organisms

It is unknown as to what the parasite's name is, however the Aga have come to call it "The Flake", as it is known to infect the Agai most successfully. It often times will cling to certain species of water based animals, waiting to be consumed. Upon consumption, it will travel through the bloodstream and up into the already half-rotted cranial region in less than 36 hours.   From there, the parasite will begin to affect the behaviorisms of the current host, changing them to become more outwardly aggressive than normal and will turn the Aga away from water sources as to dry out the host.   Luckily, the condition is curable with a type of mushroom that is packed to the brim with extreme spices.

Civilization and Culture

Average Technological Level

The most common invention you will find on an Aga is a tail augment. Aga believe in having their hands free for any and all situations. This means that if their hands wield a sword or staff to attack the front, then what do they have to protect their backside? Their solution to this was to cut off a third of their tail in favor of a weapon augment. In the past, this idea had man, many flaws due to the lack of technology. However, with the discover of relay crystals, it has helped their vision tremendously, thus creating a much more efficient form of self defense.   Tail Augments, however, also have the use of becoming a hook to hold items with. Quality of Life is greatly valued by the Aga!

Common Dress Code

Aga do not generally need to be clothed. However, should they feel uncomfortable with a very 'open' appearance, they may throw on a waistcloth at the very least, and a poncho at most. The colors of their attire is typically vibrant or dull colors with bright accents.

Culture and Cultural Heritage

Aga typically have no qualms with letting outsiders in. Most Aga, in fact, are outwardly friendly! Some may pretend to accuse you of a crime or offer a live newt as a snack, but in all reality it's simply a joke among the people to break in newcomers to the jolly atmosphere. Aga are the only known species to openly practice Dark Magic and are the only ones given a pass since it is only used to keep their population alive. However, it's because of this open use of Dark Magic that behind their backs they are often bad mouthed by the Kyorei Villages they support. Despite this, the Aga will do their best to remain respectful to all to show they pose no danger to anyone... up until they run across a person of ill intent. As kind as the Aga are, they will not be doormats to the blatantly rude and aggressive folk.

The average Aga has lightly toned musculature, though it isn't much. With enough training, it can gain more definition.
Body Tint, Colouring and Marking
Agai are all pale in comparison. Mostly of an off-white coloration (perhaps even slightly translucent with some). Few come with spots, stripes, or gradients, as most tend to be starched of any patterning. Other colors they may appear in are pale purples, reds, greens, and blues. Darker colored Aga can exist, however even their dark coloration is paled.
