Judges

Judges are the supreme form of law enforcement dispatched by the Huntsman's Court; while they're typically stationed in Tregaron City, Judges are the primary overseers that lead and guide Hands to special summits held between two parties. They act as the middle men; overseeing details of the contract to ensure that both parties can come to a mutual agreement.

Career

Qualifications

Judges are hand picked by the Grandmaster of the Huntsman's Court. All Judges originally served as a Hand for at least a minimum of a year before they're entrusted with the role as a Judge; once appointed, they're assigned a small retinue of Hands that they may call upon whenever they're required to conduct business or hold summits between two feuding parties.

Other Benefits

In exchange for being responsible for commanding a crew of Hands, Judges are paid fairly handsomely compared to their subordinates. As with every member of the Huntsman's Court, Judges are also granted a lodge or home within Tregaron City. Medical fees are also all paid by the Guild rather than the Judge. Being a Judge in Tregaron City immediately places one at a high level of esteem;   They're effectively the head of police within their area, and are given the ability to dispatch Hands to aid in their law enforcement.

Perception

Purpose

Judges are expected to bring together two parties and help them settle a quarrel through a contract. This contract is drafted between both sides before it's submitted to the judge, who mediates, corrects, and assures that the contract carries agreeable terms between both sides. In terms of public perception; they are effectively seen as the head of 'Town Watch' in Tregaron City.

A Solemn Watch

All members of the Huntsman's Court pledge an oath to immediately take up arms against The Blood Curse should its presence ever surface; it's an ancient oath held by all Huntsman, and though Judges and Hand alike seldom see a moment where the curse rises, the blood curse remains an ever-constant threat within Tregaron City.
