Draconian

Draconians are the result of the corruption of dragon eggs. Most of the initial attempts on creating draconians was performed by the most devout of Tiamat's clergy, as they experimented on stolen brass dragon eggs and silver dragon eggs on the continent of Vos. The results of these early experiments were deemed as failures for various reasons and purged, whilst Tiamat guided her followers to refine the creation process for her armies.

Unnatural Creations

Shortly before the Betrayer War, those loyal to Tiamat (cultists, priests and the aid of an ancient red dragon) developed a process to corrupt metalic dragon eggs into draconians. The resulting ritual of corruption subverted the progeny of goodly metallic dragons into draconians with evil tendencies.   Because of their connection to dragons, the draconians are immune to dragon fear and often directly worship the evil dragons, treating them as gods; a quality that Tiamat did not seem to disapprove of. Draconians are immune to human diseases and rumored to have a lifespan of nearly 500 years.

Aurak

The Aurak Draconians are among the most powerful of draconians, and were originally used as leaders and commanders of the draconian armies because of their intelligence, cunning, and magical abilities inherited from their gold dragon lineage. Auraks stand approximately 7 feet tall, with thin limbs and no wings. Auraks have the ability to teleport short distances, and have shown an ability to exert some form of mind control. In battle, Auraks use their mastery of the arcane to wreck havoc and devestation against their enemies. When killed, an Aurak immolates itself and those around it, exploding moments later, injuring anything near it.   Aurak Draconians are tall, slender and more secretive than the others of their race. They do not like to fight in the front lines, disdaining the use of weapons, but use their extremely powerful magic to attack from a distance.

Baaz

Baaz Draconians are the smallest of their brethren, created from brass dragon eggs, and commonly used as ground troops. They are usually chaotic and self-serving. Baaz often wear disguises often, concealing their wings and scales underneath large hoods and masks when traveling through non-draconian lands. When a Baaz is slain, its body turns to stone, trapping whatever weapon killed it within the baaz's stony corpse. After a short time, the petrified body crumbles to dust.   Baaz Draconians are of the lowliest stature among the Draconian race. They also have an innate magic-resistance.

Bozak

Bozak Draconians are possibly the most magic inclined of the draconian subraces, with the exception of their Aurak cousins. Created from the eggs of bronze dragons, Bozaks are cruel warriors, only sparing a life when it is to their benefit. Bozaks explode when killed, injuring those unfortunate enough to be near them.   Bozak Draconians are larger and smarter than their cousins, the Baaz Draconians, and are imposing and burly, bred to be warriors from birth. They are the tallest of the Draconian race, and can be up to seven feet tall. Their wings are not powerful enough to allow them true flight, but they can use them to glide from great heights and to skim across the ground at fast speeds. Some Bozaks are capable of casting some magical spells, usually martial in nature.

Kapak

Kapak Draconians are often considered the assassins of the draconian types; they use their venomous saliva to coat their weapons, which makes them perfect as assassins. Like their copper dragon progeny, Kapaks lure their targets into traps and use other means of gaining advantage over their foes. When killed, a Kapak draconian dissolves into a pool of acid. Some Kapak may have limited resistance to cold weather.

Sivak

Sivak Draconians are the only draconians who are capable of flight; they are second to Aurak Draconians in power, and were created from the eggs of silver dragons. They are brutal warriors and often wield huge, serated two-handed swords, but can also use their claws or armored tails. In addition to flight, Sivaks have a unique ability to shape-shift. When a Sivak kills a humanoid-size or smaller creature, it may change into the shape of the victim. Once it shifts back to its regular shape, however, the ability to take the shape of the victim is lost — until the Sivak kills again.   A Sivak draconian will also assume the form of the creature who slayed it, if it was a humanoid who performed the deed. The "death shape" lasts for three days, after which the body will decompose into black soot.
