Black Squad

Black Squad is the Conflux's top secret Psionic Special Forces squad, comprised mainly of former Dark Tribe members and their descendants.

Structure

The squad itself usually consists of five members of varying specializations. These members can be swapped out with members of the reserve force as needed, which usually numbers from four to ten individuals.

Assets

Black Squad has access to standard-issue Enforcement armor and weaponry, as well as armored vehicles. However, much of their gear will usually be left at home as it can slow them down and it's power can pale in comparison to what a squad of fully-trained Psions can do in combat.

History

After the events of the War of Dark and Light, a small group of Dark Folk escaped northward out of the Black Forest, pursued by members of the Light tribe. For years afterward, the small group of survivors went into hiding, surviving off the land when they could and stealing when they couldn't. After many years, the survivors were contacted by a representative of the Conflux; the message contained an offer of sanctuary in exchange for services to the empire. Facing destruction at the hands of Light tribe hunters and seeing no other alternative, the survivors accepted.
