Government Distribution Center

The main government distribution center is located near the Temple and the Farms of Verdan. It is a large building with multiple grain silos. This center is where the farmers, craftsman, and other producers for the town bring their goods to the government to fulfill their quotas. When these townspeople bring their goods to the center, both the government and the church record what is delivered in their Church Distribution Center Ledger. This double check system ensures that citizens are being fairly rewarded for what they contribute to the town. Any extra goods they produce are also declared to the authorities but the person has the choice whether or not they want to give the goods to the government (for extra rations and payment) or to sell them in the weekly market (See Main Square). The clergy member attending (see: [Brother Paul) is also responsible for blessing the whole proceeding, harvest, and the storage of the food and materials.

The distribution center is also where the townspeople come on a regular basis to pick up their weekly rations from the government as well as their allowance of wooden chips. The amount of rations and allowance given are dependent on: how productive that family was, their needs, the overall reserves the government has. Citizens are expected to bring their own way to carry the goods back home so there is often a line of carts left on street nearby to represent people's place in line.
