Qualifications

There are no qualifications required to be a Wrangler. There are several levels of the profession, but to become a Wrangler, one must simply choose the path.

Career Progression

When a person choses the Wrangler path, they start out as a Junior Wrangler. In this position they follow the instructions of older wranglers and find the areas they would prefer to work in. They may choose to specialise or continue as a generalist, and it is always possible to change from one specialism to another at a point in the future. 
Once they no longer require supervision, and are able to work by themselves, they progress to the position of Wrangler. 
The position of Old Wrangler is reserved for people on the Wrangler path who are considered experts and have reached a point where the other Wranglers turn to them for guidance and advice. There are normally only one or two Old Wranglers within each settlement.

Perception

Purpose

Wranglers are known for their ability to manage difficult things.
Wranglers manage animal handling, in whatever form that may take, whether it's raising animals for food or removing unwanted animals from buildings and the like.
Wranglers occasionally look after children in order to give Bearers time to manage other things, particularly if there is a difficult birth or similar.
Wranglers are considered the ultimate problem solvers and troubleshooters. In instances of emergency, such as a fire or a natural disaster, the Wranglers will be the ones expected to step in and do whatever needs to be done.

History

There was a time when Wranglers may have been fighters, but as there is no need for that any more, the role has adapted and grown.
