Personal history

The Beginning

Nehanna was born and raised in Abna. For as long as they could remember, they had been fascinated with stories and words. They loved learning in the Bearer's House where they grew up, and their favourite time was when the Storyteller would visit and tell them of times that came before.
When their time came to choose a path from the Vellich Profession Paths, it wasn't even a thought. They approached the Storykeeper and when the time came they were accepted into the Storyteller path with open arms.
As a Storylearner, Nehanna excelled. They already knew some of the stories and loved the process of listening to the Storyteller and the Storykeeper and learning more.
It was during this time at they fell in love for the first time. They were part of a four person collective and found the support and intimacy the other three offered them to be intoxicating. They made a firm connection with each of the other people, and while the collective eventually went their own ways after five years, Nehanna still shared moments with each of them throughout the years that followed.
When they progressed to being a Storylistener they hit their first challenge. Crafting their own stories was more complex than they had thought it would be, and didn't come as easily as repeating those they had heard before. This took them longer to develop, but it meant they were much more careful with the stories they constructed.

The Knowing

When Ikanta progressed up to the role of Storykeeper, Nehanna was the obvious choice for Storyteller.
During their first two years as a Storyteller they had a brief love affair with Vliki Ruler. It was passionate and satisfying, and when Vliki moved on, Nehanna was more upset than they wanted to admit.
They have now been a Storyteller for over a decade, and love the feeling of sharing their stories with the community, and helping their settlement. Occassionally they still have to work with Vliki, and sometimes that can be difficult for them, but they love their settlement enough to put their feelings aside.

Nehanna loves telling stories. They find great joy in holding the attention of an audience, but equally from talking one on one and helping a person find the answers they need. It gives them a sense of purpose, and makes them feel like a valued part of their community.
They love feeling needed and admired. They get this satisfaction from the admiration people have for their competence.

History

They had a romantic relationship which lasted a little under a year. The relationship was passionate, and both got a lot out of it. Nehanna was very much in love with Vliki and their decision to move on took them by surprise, but they respected it.
Vliki and Nehanna still work together, and Vliki has a great amount of respect for Nehanna. However, Nehanna still struggles with their feelings for Vliki.
