The Weave

The Weave is the underlying theory behind (Arcane) Magic .
It is often visualized as an invisible carpet, which is draped over the world. Manipulating the threads of this may cause ripples or other alterations to the carpet as a whole. As a result, a magical effect occurs. The weave is heavily linked to the Spirits, since the casting of a spell will cause a spirit to manifest in some way.
