Sorcerers

Sorcerers are people who gained magical powers through blood, or an event which may have happened at birth. Many children who were born during The Melding appear to manifested power in this way, due to exposure to an extreme amount of magical energy during birth. Before the Melding, the birth of a Sorcerer was practically impossible, though is appears to be more common, albeit still extremely rare, now.
Sorcerers often lack a deep understanding of the nature of their Magic or The Weave. Because of this, they are often seen as dangerous by the general populace. A sorcerer would have to keep their nature a secret, if they wish not to be persecuted by the Church.
