Session 5 report

General Summary

After defeating the Cockatrices, the party inspected the nest, finding petrified remains of hunters and animals alike, along with a single egg.  Nafikta took the beasts' feathers and TT disemboweled them to make food out of later. The party returned to the village to find the late hunter's widow. After some conversation and a confirmation that her husband was indeed one of the attacked hunters, they reported back to the chapterhouse. There they received their payment. The party used Grohim's armor to create a makeshift smoker to make rations. Meanwhile, Yerin challenged the bartender of the local inn to a drinking contest where he got defeated and lost 20 gold, while Rho tried to steal some firewood from the tavern.
After some cooking on the barbecue, the party headed to the tavern and got in a conversation with a local carpenter. He mentioned that some weird things have been going on at the graveyard lately, and that a woman named Rosa had been complaining that the local undertaker, a man named Fergus, had robbed her uncle's grave and lost the body. The party headed to the graveyard that night to see what was going on. They found a half-asleep undertaker which confirmed the story after finding out the party consisted of Inquisitors. They kept a watch and found out the next morning that another grave had been picked clean. They ascertained that a burrowing creature had dug into the graveyard and left with the body. meanwhile, Grohim and Rho found a bag filled with jewelry and a jeweled, silver dagger. The party headed to Rosa to try and find out more information.
Rosa appeared to be an aging woman from a decently rich background, and she told the party that the undertaker's father was hanged after he was found guilty of robbing his client's graves. She assumed that Fergus was doing the same. 
The party went back to the graveyard and tracked the piles of dirt the creature had left behind. Eventually they came to a rocky outcropping where they descended into a small ravine. The creature burst out of one of the walls and attacked TT with its venomous tentacles. 
After some struggling, the party emerged the victor.
